CARGO TexasLash Mascara.

Hi ladies

You might remember that last September I won a Twitter competition. As part of the wins, I was given this CARGO TexasLash Mascara. You can buy this mascara on beautybay for £14 and you get 13ml of product.

What they say
CARGO TexasLash Mascara offers maximum volume with just one coat.
Formulated with innovative Elastic Polymers, TexasLash Mascara forms small tubes around the lashes to create a smudge-proof barrier for immediate impact, high volume lashes in an instant. The fat, oversized brush allows for easy application in just one coat and is perfect for those with busy schedules.
TexasLash Mascara is enriched with Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil which work harmoniously to nourish and condition the lashes whilst preventing damage. Lashes are left beautifully voluminous, healthy and supple.
Tip: TexasLash Mascara can be removed with warm water or makeup remover.

Overall, I'm impressed with this mascara. I definitely agree that the brush is fat, oversized and it does give volume. I save this mascara for times that I want my lashes to have that oomph! It doesn't smudge (not that I really have this problem with many mascara's) and overall I don't have anything bad to say about it.

As for the price, considering CARGO is more of a higher end brand and No7/ L'oreal/Maxfactor mascara's range for not much cheaper, it's not too bad.

Have you ever tried this mascara or anything else from the brand?

Till next time...Toodles! :)

Mega MAC Haul!

Hi ladies

So I'm not really a big MAC fiend. I rarely know about the latest collections and I only ever buy one thing at a time. This time a friend hooked me up with a discount so that changed a little. Having said that, most of this isn't for me, it seems MAC just doesn't do it for me enough for me to go completely crazy. A little heads up; I was playing around with my new samsung s5 so this is quite the heavy photo post.

Oooh what could it be?

This is what it could be. I will be reviewing the concealer and brush separately. This post will just focus on the colour cosmetics.
MAC nightmoth lipliner
First up is nightmoth lipliner. I remember seeing this in a tutorial once and falling in love with how dark and vampy it was! I'm not sure how much use I'll get from it but when I'm going all out this will be the perfect liner. I also mentioned in a previous post that I have Diva lipstick so the two will make the perfect dark statement lip. It is also creamier than I expected which makes it easier to fill in the whole lip.

Lipsticks, glorious lipsticks (in the tune of food, glorious food if you will)

The only lipstick in this line up that belongs to me is Craving. Yes, yes such self restraint I know. I should be given an award of some sort. MAC lipstick now cost £15! I remember when I first got into make up a few years ago, they were £12.50.

I am unlikely to review any of the colour cosmetics and as of yet I haven't tried the lipstick but if anything particularly impresses me, I'll be sure to review it separately.

Have any of these lipsticks tickled your fancy?

Till next time...Toodles! :)

Seventeen Lip Crayons.

Hi ladies

Around boxing day sales time, I picked this up from boots at the bargain price of £5. The full price was £10 which is fantastic value within itself considering one lip crayon retails for £4.99. I believe the colours in this set were limited edition but the normal range which you can buy from Boots, has a selection of 5 colours. Seventeen is currently on 3 for 2 so if you like the look of these, now is the time to grab them.

The only negative I have about the product is the lid. It is so loose that it barely stays on which can be a big problem if you want to put it in your make up bag.

I love the vibrant colours that were in this set - I don't want to focus on it too much as it isn't a set you can buy any more but they had a bit of everything. A nudey colour, a red, a bright pink and an orange. Perfect for spring/summer.
They have a balmy texture  but despite the translucent colour (as with most jumbo pencils) there definitely is a lot of pigmentation.
I just thought this looked cool once I'd wiped off the lip swatches.
As you can see with the lip swatches, it sure packs some colour. I use the nude colour (for my skintone anyway) nearly everyday. On my lips, it just gives a nice sheen (although I can build it up) but I imagine it would be a very pretty colour on fairer skin/less pigmented lips.

If you'd like to see swatches of the colours available in store, a year ago I did a 'swatching session' post and here you can see the whole range. Funnily enough I actually forgot about this till I googled swatches and my link came up in the results!

Overall, I think these lip crayons are a great option on the high street, that's if you're not sick of the jumbo lip pencil craze.

Till next time...Toodles! :)

GOSH Cream Blushers.

Hi ladies

I picked these up at a GOSH event quite a long time ago but surprisingly I haven't reviewed them on my blog. I thought I had but I realised now that that was a guest post I did for Grace about my top 5 blushers. I can't find these on the superdrug website but I believe they retail for £6.99.

Please note these photos are quite old and therefore the quality and colour accuracy isn't the best (not that my current photos are much better).

I love the little print it has on the top layer. I'm not quite sure how to describe it but it adds a little touch. I have the shades, peachy rush and brown dash.

It has a really creamy texture and can be applied using either your fingers or a brush (duo fibre brush is my chosen brush). It has good pigmentation and at the same time is non greasy so makes it nice to blend.

This is a more recent photo than the above so you can see the usage.
Overall if you want to venture into cream blushers, this is a good high street option. The peachy colour would definitely make a great addition to a spring/summer make-up bag, whilst brown dash (although it looks quite dark in the pan) is a very natural looking colour for medium skin tones.

Are you a fan of cream blushers?

Till next time...Toodles! :)
